9/11: HOW AMERICA CHANGED

REVIEWS

“Along with her acute investigative and research skills, hundreds of sources, and genuine dedication to revealing the truth, Smarth delivers an impossible-to-ignore testimony that amounts to one of the finest and most disturbing accounts of the causes and effects of this shocking event [9/11], its causes, and, most troubling, its ongoing consequences.” . . . “And, it is this Dragnet-like ‘Just the facts’ approach that lends credence and gravitas to each chapter, evidencing her provocative claims and alarming conclusions. ” . . . “Readers are not left with yet another cautionary tale, but instead a rigid warning about the clear and present dangers all Americans must face, and meet, if the republic is to endure as a global and moral force into and beyond the 21st century.” . . . “For all Americans, regardless of political or ideological stripe, this is required reading.”

– Dr. John P. Wargacki, Associate Professor of English, Seton Hall University

As a Muslim Arab-American, who experienced the consequences of this tragic event firsthand, I can truly attest that this book gave me a glimmer of hope; a hope that somewhere out there someone will always fight to find the truth. Thank you, Ms. Smarth, for your diligent and hard work on this book. It blows my mind the extent of research you had to do to put this great book together!

“Firstly, I commend the author for all the painstaking research and resulting volume of footnotes.  An honest reader must recognize all that. Also I found the great amount of information packed into this quite readable book to be great and much to be grateful for. . . .  I found the book to be so good that I hope there would be at least a second edition.”

– John Felago, M.M, Maryknoll Missionary Catholic Priest

“Deborah Smarth’s intelligent and unbiased reflection on the ‘new’ way of life in America in the aftermath of 911 goes well beyond the tragedy itself.  The book, 9/11 How America Changed, provides insight into the ensuing political dynamics and subsequent legislative/executive actions that have affected our society. Deborah gives us hope that we can as a nation of citizens take back our freedom and a more secure future.”

– Bob Palumbo, Citizen

“The book 9/11 How America Changed, is not just another book about the unspeakable tragedy of 9/11. It’s an extensive study of numerous events that have taken place since 9/11, supported by many essential details and remarks about the shifting and changing face of our country. This book is a great illustration that our world needs to be well-informed about governmental, monetary and foreign policies, and media disclosure. Education will let the citizens grow to be knowledgeable community members who can transform the world into a better and healthier place. ‘Quotations that Matter’ are placed at the end of the book; we have heard many of them a lot of times but after reading the book, those quotes took on a deeper meaning. One of them, President Andrew Jackson’s quote: ‘One man with courage makes a majority’ is a direct reflection on the author’s role in writing this citizen account.”

– Oksana Dlaboha

“Deborah K. Smarth’s book ,9/11 How America Changed, is a must read. It is a profound wake-up call to the American people before it is too late and we totally lose our moral underpinnings and whatever control we still have over our own government. It is a stream-of-consciousness style, summarizing in Chapter 10 for those who are short on time.”

– Ray Kalainikas

”The book is excellent. Will spread the word. . . Keep up all your important work during these challenging times. You give me hope in the struggle.”

-Roy Bourgeois

” I have finished reading your book and was very impressed. This book offers a unique and enlightening viewpoint of the Middle East conflict and the consequences of military intervention in that area. I found myself rethinking some of my previous beliefs.”

-Andrew Bennett

“Book is incredible! Amazing info, writing, impact. Amazed by your book…A truly impactful work! . . . . I also think the author did the American people a great service in the research, effort and truth gathering she put into this book!”

-Mira Kostak

“This book is well documented and shows the interconnectedness – both past and present – of world issues and the need and importance of taking the time to research issues through various sources to make better informed decisions about what is going on in our world and our response to those events.”

America’s Lost Opportunity: Second Edition Reviews

“Well researched and written. The book is true to its title. Let us hope we will not miss another opportunity this election cycle.”

-S Prakash Kancherla

“After I read the first book, I felt empowered. When I listen to the debates or read about the candidates for the 2016 elections, I can say that I felt smarter analyzing the news and the campaigns. Perfect timing for the second edition! Thank you Ms. Smarth for opening my eyes!”

Alia Suqi

“After reading the first edition it is mandatory that I reread the second edition considering our current political climate. One party is the Old (older) guard with more of the same and the other is a rat race with many candidates being manipulated by the press. D. Smarth sorts it all out and brings a level playing field to you the voter. Excellent!”

America’s Lost Opportunity: First Edition Reviews

This book is an excellent exposé of our current political situation in the USA. It is well written and it reveals how abiding citizens are being manipulated to not choose the right political candidate by being disseminated with omissions or tainted information by the media and our current political parties. Deborah K Smarth transports us to a place where we get to assess our future. It gets us to reflect on what it is supposed to be a country embracing civil liberties and freedom for that has lost its soul. Kudos to Ms. Smarth for writing this very poignant book filled with valuable information. A must read!

“I found the first edition of Ms. Smarth’s book to be written with passion and insight into the political campaign arena. I look forward to reading the second edition.”

-Andrew Bennett

“I was very impressed with your writing and the book overall…your knowledge of the process impressed me very much….If only some of that information had gotten out to the press, he [Ron Paul] may have had a better chance.

I would love to learn more of what you do for 2016, so I might be more effective in doing whatever I can do.”

-Alice Steinbacher

“Every supporter of www.randpaul2016.com should have a copy of this book to understand party politricks in the primary process.”

-Bob Pyle

“I highly praise Deborah Smarth and her book America’s Lost Opportunity as a clear and free voice challenging the American political system. Although we have to agree to disagree in part on the role of journalism, I truly respect the commitment of a citizen to be so engaged. It is sorely needed in our society today. Passion is lost but not in this book. Good journalists have the same mission and it is based in Jeffersonian principles. That great president truly believed that the political system would become criminalized given unchallenged and unchecked power if the citizens allowed it. Clearly, Ms. Smarth is doing her part. Her research, clarity in writing and presentation make this book a wonderful read.”

(Former editor of two large newspapers and a current member of the Oakes Board of the Columbia Journalism School)

“This book told the inside story of an apparently corrupt process of choosing the Republican presidential nominee in 2012. It was very insightful and presented factual events that could have changed the outcome of the Republican nomination as well as the Pesidential election itself. It made me realize that what you read in news publications does not always tell the entire story and how established party rules can be broken in order to promote a pre-established agenda.

The book was very well thought out, researched and presented by the auther. I strongly recommend it to politically minded individuals who seek the truth about how a Presidential nominee is chosen.”

-Peter Amico

“This was the election that made me realize that we no longer have elections in this country and we are now third world with the establishment firmly in place and staying there. The cheating, media corruption and unfair coverage, and election fraud was all apparent to anyone out there in the trenches. Thanks for this expose, Deborah.”

-C. L. Henson

“A must read political account of the 2012 election process. A masterful treatment of the facts surrounding the election, media and gaps in coverage most would not realize until you read this informative book. The material flows well, has unbelievable WOW points throughout the book and keeps reader wanting to find out more, so much so that the reader may take to YouTube and other venues in search of more. Some events which have not made media play, or other facts which get twisted or not reported at all are presented and analyzed in an easy to read and follow intriguing format.”

“The book was an eye opener. The details in it were fascinating. I was amazed about how little we, the average people, know about our political system. I will never look at elections the same way again.”

Alia Suqi

“Deborah K. Smarth has written an interesting chronicle of Dr. Ron Paul’s campaign for the United States Republican nomination for President in the 2012 election.

If Republicans want to win a presidential election in 2016, they should read this book. Ron Paul would have stood a better chance against President Obama on debates. The Republicans need to stop the greed and corruption if they want to win the next election in 2016.

To say that the Republican Party is out of touch with normal Americans is the truth! This book shows how a good candidate with morals and logic like Ron Paul can be railroaded out of being their candidate. Maybe Ron Paul should switch parties since the Republicans shunned him in favor of a more suitable candidate like Romney for the 1 percent. That’s why they’re losing and not gaining supporters and voters. The Republicans today are simply too old and narrow minded about domestic and foreign policies.”

-Sylviastel

“Deborah Smarth digs up details on the GOP presidential nomination process that open our eyes to the behind the scenes maneuvers that win presidential nominations. The majority wins, but the minority rules. This meticulously crafted account of the 2012 Republican presidential nomination process tells it all – the people, press and processes that determine the winners before the voters get into the election booth. Political aficionados everywhere will love this book.”

-Angela Harrington

“As far as I know, Ms. Smarth is the only writer who has undertaken to document the sad and undeserved shipwreck of the 2012 Ron Paul campaign, which may turn out to have been the last chance to check the country’s now century-old drift toward into corporatist centralism.”

-John Bramhall

“Well written and offering some insight into the politicians and how candidates can, with a little help, move to the top or bottom of the class very quickly. Unfortunately most voters keep voting for candidates on a superficial level and somehow believe all the rhetoric.

Ms. Smarth offers an insight into the idea that maybe people don’t want to know the truth and those that try to tell us…don’t do so well in the polls.”

-Alfonso J. Izzi

“A must read for every voting American. And, a mandatory read for ANY student of political science. A real insight into the corrupt voting process with thorough research and validation.”

-Don Vincenzo

“This is a powerful and persuasive book that presents a compelling case from the inside-out for anyone who wants to learn the truth about the inner-workings of the two-party political system in 21st century America.

It is a 1st-person narrative about trying to drive positive change and the politically-motivated resistance to that change, even when the protagonists are willing to work within the prevailing system and each of its constituent processes. Simple avoidance technique: secretly change the requirements of that system and its most critical processes.

This book is a “must-read” for every American voter before the 2016 presidential primaries!”

We Are All the Same but Different

Much Needed Positive Guidance For Teens!!!!

Five stars for Deborah K. Smarth’s new book , “We Are All The Same but Different ”. It is so refreshing to have a book specifically written for teens that is age appropriate and filled with positive ways to work together to solve pertinent issues using “The Golden Rule” as a guide. This group of classmates with very different cultural and faith backgrounds join together to engage in respectful dialogue to identify concerns they observe in their community and in the world….. This book introduces teens to the Golden Rule and empowers them to become involved with making the world a better place for all!

It is a much needed and appropriate addition to all school libraries and school reading lists. “

“Great Book For Youth

You’ve certainly heard the oft-repeated defensive retort “He (or she) made me do it!” Usually this was exclaimed in a calamitous situation by kids pointing fingers at each other. A new book for teens turns the tables and offers a sought-after, proud and instructional outcome for young readers. “We are All the Same but Different” by Deborah K. Smarth creates a friendly, engaging and infectious environment in which juveniles share their views about issues affecting their lives such as the Golden Rule, peace, how to change things, making the world better and so on.

The multiethnic participants of this lively dialogue offer their views and solutions on how to improve the world around them and how to accept the differences that exist among youthful peers. Basically, the mantra is all they have to do, is do good. The dialogue perfectly meets contemporary youths’ social conventions…….. The book is a suitable conversational ice breaker for classrooms and youth groups. ”

“Wonderful Book – A Must Read!

It’s hard to imagine a book we need more than this!
In earnest, poignant conversations, young voices from many different backgrounds find shared truths and values as equal members of the human family. Their aspirations for understanding and improving the human condition will resonate with all readers, young and old, and we can all appreciate and apply their wisdom and practical strategies in our own lives to begin to improve our local community, our state, our country, our world.

This is a book with a big heart and a big mission!

I have been sending copies to family and friends and we all agree it is a must-read.

The more people who read this wonderful book, the more loving and peaceful our world will be.”

“Fantastic Book!

“We Are All the Same but Different” is a fantastic book about celebrating our differences. It’s Ok to be different and it’s amazing to be unique. Everyone is the same on the inside, and it’s our differences that make this wonderful world, which is home to us all, an interesting and very special place.

Within 60 pages many important topics are covered and many explanations are offered.

The main characters are all different but they exchange their ideas about treating others with respect, kindness, and love. …. Their conversation about The Golden Rule is a wonderful reminder to all of us about the principle of treating others as one wants to be treated.”
