Who is Trump that he can tell another country what they can and cannot do? Who is America and Israel that they can bomb another country like Iran and sow the seeds of hatred, and potentially terrorism against America, making it unsafe for all Americans.The corporate media with rare exception doesn’t report all the facts on both sides of public policy issues especially in foreign affairs and so unfortunately many Americans – who are too busy putting food on the table and making ends meet – are misled by the staunched narratives of a biased media (both on the left and right in political ideological leanings).One does not create or promote peace by continually insulting and labeling countries in a harsh manner – the way Trump does on a regular basis. How can one build trust for proper and fair negotiations on complicated and emotional matters? Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner who have pre-conceived leanings towards Zionist Israel should not even be involved with negotiations with Iran. Kushner and his family have funded illegal Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories! How can you fashion a true, fair deal with Iran when they have proven themselves to be on the other side? Then, unfortunately, Americans must deal with the likings of Pete Hegseth (Dept. of War), and Marco Rubio (Secretary of State) a notable war hawk and unwavering supporter of Israel no matter what. Too concerned about the path to power and a possible presidential run rather than being committed to the “truth” and seeing all perspectives on some very complicated international issues.It’s time for “truth” in politics, guided by a moral paradigm, that all human beings are equal with the same intrinsic worth as the Creator provided for; and that our rights come not from the political state but are inherent from the “hand of God.” President John F. Kennedy’s quote on the latter should be reflected upon by Mr. Trump and his personnel involved with overseas matters in relations with countries like Iran, Israel, etc.; they should learn the value of this truth.Outright violation of a country’s sovereignty, issuance of tariffs and sanctions against countries, are all symptomatic of the desire for “control” and the concept of “my way or the highway.” It must stop if we are to promote and nourish true peace.
